Someone I know did a research project for their magazine in the late 1990's. It showed how over the life span of the average car it costs $1000 @ month, it must be twice that now! And if you add the price of environmental damage and war to keep the oil cheap. Each vehicle in the USA is responsible for several million (or is that trillion) dollars!

The changes are coming soon, the economy will collapse, then people will have to start thinking as I have been doing for the last 15 years writing this blog! And remember your grand children will be spitting on your grave if you don't! Assuming they even have a chance to grow up!

Hydrogen fuelcell reactors are very expensive. The one supplying the electricity for the large double van is only 150w at up to 30volts. This could be ok for flat land use if it is continuously charging batteries. Like even when stopped to make a delivery. What we need is one that will produce 750w continuously. And a one person velomobile body. Well don't hold your breath, it will be a lot of years before we can get on of those at an affordable price. However lithium-ion batterys are affordable compared to the hydrogen fuel cell reactors.
